Fishburne vs. Hargrave

Yesterday was the first meet and the hardest meet of our season. We were swimming against Hargrave who have won the division championships for the last 4 years. It was a fast paced tough meet, but we never lost our drive and enthusiasm. The Fishburne swimmers gave it all they had through the very last event. There were notable performances by Fassana getting 2nd in the 200 IM and 4th in the 100 Free (two of the toughest events), Kennard performed well on the longest event swimming 500 meters in just over 7 minutes and placing 3rd, Montgomery placed 3rd in both the 100 fly and the 100 breast. We also had many swimmers for whom this was their first meet: Burkhard, Kennard, McNamara, Pai and Shea. Each and every member of the team performed very well, but unfortunately we were unable to defeat Hargrave. The final score was Hargrave 172, Fishburne 105.
